We spent a week there in Oct,03 and really enjoyed it - weather was perfect. Rooms and grounds were clean; resort has a very attractive layout, great breakfast buffet, staff friendly and helpful, wonderful beach. Main attraction for us was quiet, small & not glitzy like other mega-resorts in the area. Walked into Playa del Carmen many times. Only downside was that this is also a time share location and we were approached several times for a sales pitch, even tho we indicated when we arrived that we weren't interested-we finally disconnected phone in our room. Rented a car in Playa and drove to Chichen Itza, about 100 miles away and toured at our own pace. Took the ferry to Cozumel for dinner and shopping. We are an older couple but there was a young family there & resort had an activities director for kids.
