Desire Resort and Spa, Puerto Morelos

The Desire Resort and Spa is located on Bahia Petempich near the town of Puerto Morelos, south of Cancun, close to archeological sites, theme parks and other local attractions.
Playa del Carmen is 20 minutes further south and it is the same distance north to the Cancun airport.

The Standard category rooms at the Desire Resort and Spa feature a balcony with garden view and a minimalist country style decoration. They are equipped with a king-size bed or twin queens, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, CD player, telephone, minibar, coffee maker, safe, bathrobes and hairdryer. Non-smoking rooms are available.

The facilities and services offered by the Desire Resort and Spa include guest parking, 5 restaurants, 4 bars and a disco lounge named the Alternative, here and in one of the bars nudism is optional. Other services include car rental desk, currency exchange and gift boutique.
Leisure and sports options include a gym, tennis courts, organized volleyball tournaments, ping-pong and a games room. Less than half an hour away in either Cancun or Playa del Carmen you’ll find a choice of excellent golf courses and nighttime entertainment.
The hotel also offers guests a free introductory scuba diving class in the pool as well as kayaks and surfboards. Deep sea fishing, scuba diving tours and snorkeling excursions are also available at extra charge.
The beach in front of the Desire Resort is ideal for suntanning in the buff while relaxing on a comfortable chaise with magnificent Caribbean vistas and sipping on your favorite refreshment.
The hotel has two swimming pools, one is a relaxation area located near the lobby and the other is a socializing venue facing the beach. Clothing is optional at either one. Another featured attraction is the nude lounge and Jacuzzi with room for several couples.
The spa options include a steam bath, sauna, Jacuzzi plus a variety of professional services such as massages and beauty treatments.
The Desire Resort and Spa´s honeymoon package, which is subject to availability, includes ocean view room, special gift, and champagne bottle on arrival. Reservations must be followed up by the presentation of a recent marriage certificate upon arrival.

The Desire Resort and Spa has five restaurants: El Arrecife their main restaurant is open from 7 AM to 9:30 PM serving buffet style meals; the Coconut Snack and Grill is a right by the main pool offering like meals from 11 AM until 6 PM and grilled specialties from noon until 4 PM; Il Piacere is open for dinner, serving international dishes in a casually elegant dress atmosphere; Cielito Lindo is also open for dinner with a casually elegant dress atmosphere, serving Mexican specialties; the Melange Lobby Bar serves snacks and pizzas from 11 PM until 4 AM.

The all-inclusive plan offered by Desire Resort and Spa provides all buffet meals, dinner in the two specialty restaurants, snacks, welcome cup of champagne, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and house wine; tennis, ping-pong, table games, non motorized water sports, use of the gymnasium, sauna, steambath and Jacuzzi; in-house daytime and evening entertainment shows.
