Riu Palace Mexico, Playa del Carmen

Located right on the beach just steps away from the beautiful Caribbean. The area around the hotel includes Playa del Carmen´s famous 5th Avenue with its interesting boutiques, numerous restaurants and vibrant nightlife.
The Riu Palace is one of the gateways to the Riviera Maya just 40 minutes from the Cancun airport and five minutes from downtown Playa del Carmen.

Standard rooms are spacious featuring a sitting area and balconies. They are gracefully decorated in a turn-of-the-century Mexican style and equipped with two double beds, A/C, ceiling fan, minibar, satellite TV, telephone, and room safe. Bathrooms have a shower and bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobes, and accessories for the handicapped.

The hotel offers a variety of excellent facilities and services that include five restaurants, five bars and a theater. You´ll also find a gift shop, currency exchange counter, beauty salon, car rental and travel agency. For special events the Riu also has conference rooms and wedding or honeymoon packages. Its sports facilities include a gym, tennis courts, 2 swimming pools in addition to comfortable shade huts on the beach. The kids have their own special club offering an optional babysitting service.
Guests can enjoy excellent body and facial treatments at the resort´s complete spa. There´s always a volleyball game going on and lots of time to play tennis or enjoy a couple of rounds at the 18-hole Playacar golf course (green fees apply). Available water activities include sailing, kayaking, surf boards and snorkeling. The two enormous pools are great for swimming or just cooling off and the outdoor Jacuzzi has an unbeatable view.

Guests will find an extraordinary selection of fine dishes at the Riu Palace´s five restaurants. The Don Julian serves an international buffet at different times of the day; La Traviata will delight you with its Italian cuisine between 10:30 AM and 6 PM, while the Sir Edward Restaurant offers elegant dining a la carte in a chic evening atmosphere.

The All-inclusive accommodation package provides all meals, snacks, refreshments and a selection of domestic and imported alcohol until 2 AM. It also includes 2 thematic buffet dinners per week, optional dinner reservations along with lunch and dinner in other Riu hotels in the area. Daily room minibar and alcohol dispenser refills. Hotel guests have free access to the tennis courts, gymnasium and all nonmotorized aquatic equipment. The all-inclusive plan also provides organized recreational activities during the day, nightly shows in the hotel plus cover and drinks at the Riu Tequila´s disco "La Piñata."
