  • Hola Asia, Riviera Maya

Hola Asia is a small, cosy, and quite place to visit while you are in Puerto Morelos. Hola Asia was created by Miguel and Liza Mateos who felt that a true alternative was needed to the current eateries in "Cancun's best kept secret", Puerto Morelos.

Hola Asia is an example of how food bonds cultures. You will find the restaurant filled with a mix of locals and visitors from all walks of life and from every area of the world. Asian food is the main attraction that brings them together. The rooftop bar and dining area have a spectacular view of the park and the Caribbean Sea. Hola Asia's decoration is done with different tones of gold, black and red to emulate the hot yellow mustard and curries along with the red chili peppers used in some of the favorite dishes of the Asian cuisine.
Since Puerto Morelos is a fishing town, to take full advantage of that, Hola Asia offers many fresh fish and seafood dishes. In fact, all items are cooked with fresh quality ingredients purchased daily. Stop by Puerto Morelos during your next visit to the Mayan Riviera. It's a very special place and the owners of Hola Asia, Miguel y Liza Mateos, are very proud to be part of the community.
Among appetizers you should try are Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoon, or Chinese BBQ Pork. However, Fried Tofu with Peanut Sauce or Japanerse Yakitory (teriyaki) are some favorites. A great variety of Noodles and Rice as well as Sushi and salads are available. Suggestions include Chinese Fried Rice, California Roll, and Asian Toss Salad. The most enjoyable entry according to customers is General Tso's Ckicken, which is lightly breaded slicked chicken breast, pan fried, and served with a mild spicy sweet sauce. But Japanese Tempura, a mix of shrimps and assorted vegetables or Indonesian Coconut Shrimp with Coconut Rice should also be tasted at least once. Other entries highly recommended are Hola Asia Shrimps, Teriyaki Salmon, Hoisin BBQ Chicken, and Asia Filet Mignon. On the menu there is also tofu and vegetarian options, as well as fabulous homemade desserts like brownies and ice cream, Oreo Cookie Cheesecake, or Tequila Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. Since the menu is considerably extensive, the best advise is to come and try for yourself the exquisite flavor of each dish.

Hola Asia is located in the central town square of Puerto Morelos, just a few steps away from the waters edge. Puerto Morelos is a small, quiet Mexican beach town, conveniently located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, only 22 miles or 35 km. south of Cancun International Airport and 32 km. or 20 miles north of Playa del Carmen.

Hola Asia is open from Monday through Saturday (except Tuesday) from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. and Sunday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
