La Cueva del Chango, Playa del Carmen

You will feel you are in the jungle, with its waterfall and pond full of fish. The restaurant is built in nature, with stone walls and wood roofs. There is also a "palapa" where you can enjoy your breakfast and fresh fruits juices. You can even prepare yours selecting your favorite ingredients. Menu includes a long list of salads and the specialty of the house: delicious Shrimp breaded with Xcatic "chile" and cinnamon.
The bar serves a wide variety of fresh fruits juices and Mexican wines.

It is very easy to walk along 5th. Avenue to Street 38, right at the corner you will discover La Cueva del Chango. It is a long walk but quite enjoyable. As you pass by, you can stop in any shop or store along the way. 5th. Avenue is the main street in Playa del Carmen, full of bar, shops, handicraft stores, and much more.

The owners are always present to make sure the service is perfect. The restaurant opens from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 to 23:00 hrs. and on Sunday from 8:00 to 14:00 hrs. Credit cards are not accepted.
