Boca del Rio obtained this name in the XVII as it is next to the Jamapa River. However, it became a city in 1988 and now it is a municipality next to Veracruz city.
It is located about 15 km. or 9 miles from the Port of Veracruz through Highway 150. Boca del Rio features beautiful beaches where visitors love to relax or to practice different water sports and activities.
