Mismaloya, Vallarta

Mismaloya is located on Banderas Bay, just 10.8 Km south of Puerto Vallarta, on the Road 200. It is easy to locate as it is down a hill between a hotel and a bridge. Puerto Vallarta International Airport is only 25 minutes away.

Mismaloya is a location you should visit and try many on the water activities such as sea kayaking, jet ski rentals, and parasailing. Besides, a wide selection of beachside restaurants offering excellent Mexican food makes Mismaloya a simply, beautiful place to have a great day at the beach.

Mismaloya gained fame when film director John Huston shot the night of the Iguana with Richard Burton and other famous actors. Many reporters were attracted to town. After this movie, Mismaloya turned from a relaxed fishermen village to a famous touristic town.

You can also visit what is left from the set of many movies such as Rambo, Terminator, Night of the Iguana, etc. The view of the city from there is quite impressive. Mismaloya has a long story, dated back to 600 AC. One of the main characters is a king named Nayarita who fought to keep this land, as it was already recognized as one of the most beautiful places ever.
