Mazatlan Zona Dorada is 4 miles (6.5 km.) north of Downtown. It starts at the point known as the Sheik, where Av. del Mar and Rafael Buelna cross, and it ends at Marina El Cid. Mazatlan, in the west part of Mexico and in front of the Pacific Ocean, has an international airport that is about 30 minutes by car from Downtown. There are daily flights from the United States and Canada and connections are made mainly from Mexico City and from Los Angeles, California. Panamericana Highway 40 and Highway 15 communicate Mazatlan with the rest of the country. By sea, ferries arrive daily from La Paz, Baja California Sur and so do cruise lines all year around. Tourists fastly understand that Zona Dorada is synonymous to fun, therefore Mazatlan Zona Dorada is a location that everyone should visit.

You can visit a botanical garden or the largest aquarium of the country, with a shark section that will surprise you.
