You can reach Tijuana by plane since its international airport, close to the city, is served by major national and international airlines. Regional, national, and bi-national bus lines connect Tijuana with important cities both in the north of Mexico and the west of the country: from Mexicali to Hermosillo, to Mazatlan and Lazaro Cardenas in Michoacan.

Declared as a city in 1889, Tijuana has experience fast economic and demographic growth. Nowadays, this border city, with the most active international border in the world, offers a mix of cultures from different parts of Mexico; its diversity is well appreciated in its cuisine, music, costumes, arts, and handicrafts, among others features.

Tourists can start their visit with a city tour that includes the Tijuana Cultural Center, which was build by famous architects Ramirez Vazquez and Rosen Morrison. It was opened in 1982 and soon it became the city modern icon. It houses the State Orchestra, the scenic Arts Center, the Hispanic American Center of the Guitar, and the Omnimax Theater. Tours will take visitors along Revolution Avenue, the former Governor Palace, and the Agua Caliente Complex. It is a great way to known the highlights of the city.

Besides, Tijuana offers many points of interest such as its Auditorium Fausto Gutierrez, the House of Culture, and the House of Culture Playas, which features exhibition and performance spaces as well as workshops; or the Tijuana Brewery where visitors will learn the beer making process and enjoy a pint at the European style pub. Likewise, L. A. Cetto is a winery where tourists will know the process to produce wine and taste some samples.

Close to the international border, Tijuana Zona Rio represents the modern side of the city. Shopping malls, great stores, banks and financial services, hotels, and travel agencies are just some of the interesting possibilities of this part of town. More than 30 restaurants are located in this area where it is possible to satisfy every palate. Cuisines such as Argentinian, Brazilian, Mexican, Chinese, Mediterranean, Italian, French, or Japanese, among others, are available in Tijuana.

Visiting Tijuana is an incredible experience that includes a beautiful region with extensive coastline, mountains, valleys, and deserts, all within a two hour drive. Rosarito, for instance, is located only at a 25 minute drive south. Beautiful beaches, comfortable hotels, and excellent gastronomic establishments welcome tourist here. Tecate, at a 30 minute east drive, offers an internationally recognized spa and interesting cave paintings in a place named "El Vallecito". Other near places that tourists can visit are the cities of Ensenada, San Felipe, and Mexicali.
