El Arrayan, Vallarta

Home > Guide > Vallarta > Restaurants > El Arrayan

El Arrayan is a traditional restaurant featuring typical Mexican dishes. Located in Old Vallarta, it offers local decoration, nice ambiance, and outstanding cuisine. You can also try a glass of "Raicilla", the local drink.

Cuisine is authentically Mexican featuring "Pozole Blanco" (pork meat and broth with fresh vegetables), "Empanadas de Platano" (banana patties), "Aguachile de Camaron" (steamed shrimp in spicy mango sauce), among other delicacies. Service is more than excellent and the owner, Carmen Porras, is always nearby to make sure to offer the best culinary experience in Puerto Vallarta. Typically Mexican decoration and central "patio" featuring an Arrayan tree are just beautiful.

El Arrayan restaurant is located 5 blocks from the sea walk, in the old side of the city, on the corner of Allende and Miramar streets. Before or after your meal, you can take a stroll to visit the surroundings, discovering colonial treasures. You can get there by taxi or walking up from the sea walk.

El Arrayan is a whole flavor experience and we widely recommend a visit to this place during your stay in Puerto Vallarta. They take almost every credit card.
