Tarraya, Playa del Carmen

Home > Guide > Playa del Carmen > Restaurants > Tarraya

Tarraya is a restaurant on the beautiful beach of Playa del Carmen, specialized in fresh seafood. With the magical view of the Caribbean ocean in front of you and the delicious dishes prepared. Nothing else should be needed during your vacations.

 - CR -

This simple restaurant (no fancy decoration around) was born with Playa del Carmen, and since then has offered the freshest fish and seafood in town. As the owners are fishermen, you will see them bring back from the sea their catch, just select yours, and they'll cook it for you. You have to try the famous dish called "Tik Inchix", only made in the Yucatan peninsula. A delicious fish marinated with sour orange, "achiote" and cooked in "nanana" leaf.

Located right on the beach, at the corner of the 2nd street, Tarraya is facing the ocean. The easiest way to reach it from the Hotels in Playacar is taking a taxi to the main square and from there walking on the beach. If you are already on the famous 5th Av., walk until you reach 2nd street and head to the beach.

Tarraya restaurant does not accept credit cards.
