Coconuts, Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo

Coconuts is located in the oldest building in Zihuatanejo. The edifice was built in 1865 and was completely restored by the current owners. The restaurant has a great "patio" filled with coconuts tree and several tropical trees which give a wonderful surrounding to enjoy your dishes.
Coconuts is known to be the top restaurant in Zihuatanejo. The service, the quality and quantity of food are simply perfect. The menu is comprised of traditional Mexican dishes and a lot of seafood based recipes. We encourage you to try at least one of the following: Coconuts shrimps, Fresh fillet stuffed with fresh shrimp or shrimp risotto. Coconuts also can organize your wedding, an office or holiday party. Their catering services are as good as the regular service.

You can reach Coconuts easily if you stay in Zihuatanejo. By taking a short walk around the city in the small streets, you will find the "Pasaje" Agustin Ramirez where the restaurant is located just in front of the main beach. As Zihuatanejo is quite small, you can simply ask any local to show you the direction. From Ixtapa, we recommend you to use taxi or bus. Taxis are always much faster but buses give you an extraordinary view of the surroundings.

Coconuts restaurant received several awards and recognition during the past year which were published in the International Herald Tribune and in Escala Magazine.
