La Destileria offers the authentic Mexican flavor with a variety of dishes from different Mexican states. From the typical tacos to the more elaborate Chiquihuite Maximiliano (a phylo dough pattie stuffed with "cuitlacoche" (corn truffle), cream cheese and chicken breast), or the fresh seafood such as the famous Forin de las Flores style shrimp.
The food and the decoration as an old Tequila brewer are just amazing. La Destileria is located on the Blvd Kukulcan, on Km 12.6, just before Plaza Kukulcan, on the lagoon side. It can be reached easily by bus or any taxi inside the Cancun hotel zone, just ask for "La Destileria". Besides, it is the only red building in Cancun with huge chimneys resembling those of the ovens used to make Tequila. The view of the Nichupte Lagoon is splendid from the restaurant and itīs another reason to not miss a visit. Take advantage of the Tequila Museum. The museum offers you everything you ever wanted to know about tequila, you can even schedule a brief guided tour, and finally have a "Tequila Sampler" so you can learn to distinguish the different flavors that each variety has. | |
