Mexico has a long past rich in cultural, traditional and folkloric activities. Cancun offers you the unique opportunity to discover several of them and spend a great time. Bullfight: First of all, and the most important part is that this is a real bullfight, including bleeding and the death of animals. If you donīt feel confident or interested in watching the show, just donīt go because you will not like what you will see. Every week on Wednesday afternoon, the Plaza de Toros (Bullring) of Cancun hosts a bullfight, and many shows with traditional dancers, Charros (Mexican Cow Boys), Mayan dances and more.
The bullfight lasts around 3 hours including the shows. There are normally 6 bullfights during the afternoon. Sometimes, they allow people to enter the bullring and play with a baby bull (the "baby" weights around 250 pounds). The tradition, the artistry and the spectacle of the bullfight is one of a kind and worth the time spent under the sun. Museum: The National Institute of Anthropology and History is located inside the Cancun Convention Center, on Km 9 of the Hotel Zone, behind Party center. It features a large collection of 1,000 to 1,500 years old artifacts showcasing the Mayas everyday life. Very interesting to visit. You will be able to discover from weapons to cooking pots, farmers tools and more. | | Traditional and Folkloric Activities in Cancun, Me Mexico has a long past rich in cultural, traditional and folkloric activities. | Keywords Cancun, Activities, Traditional and Folkloric Activities in Cancun, Mexico |
