Inside Puerto Vallarta Airport you will find everything, from post office to souvenirs, restaurants, bars, money exchange, Immigration Service, Customs area, etc. Duty Free shops are located on the first floor and they are only accessible to people holding an International flight ticket.
Major car rentals agencies have their office right at the Airport. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz Airport is located north of Puerto Vallarta, just beside Marina Vallarta. Downtown Puerto Vallarta is at about 15 minutes, Marina Vallarta at 5 minutes and the Hotel Zone at 10minutes. Taxis (Areomovil) and shuttle buses are present at the Airport. Cost ranges from $8 to $15 Usd in Taxi and from $16 to $35 Usd in a van, depending on your destination.
You will need to buy your ticket at the kiosk TAXI, at the arrival gates. A guide will walk you to your vehicle.
The cost is a little higher than in downtown as the airport is considered Federal Property and the taxes are higher. | |
