Cancun Airport offers all the facilities any international airport offers, including money exchange, duty free, food court, car rental, Police and Immigration services, and customs area.
The airport has received a total make over during the last years and has reached the highest standards in quality. Cancun International Airport is located 15 minutes from the entrance of Cancun Hotel Zone and 20 minutes from Cancun Downtown.
Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya are within 45 min car ride.
The major archaeological sites like Tulum and Chichen Itza are 2 hours away.
The Airport is well served by a 4 lanes express way connecting it to the main Highway running from Cancun to Playa del Carmen and Tulum. By federal law, regular taxis are not allowed to pick up passengers from Cancun Airport, but they are allowed to bring you from the hotel to the Airport.
Only authorized ground transportation is licensed to pick up passengers arriving in Cancun. You will find them at the arrival gates in Terminal 2.
Car rentals are available also, their offices are located inside terminal 2, right after the custom zone.
